Product Spotlight: Paraway Plus

Have you heard of Paraway Plus?  It's an amazing little capsule full of power.  I've decided to try a different Unicty Product each month, or at least close to each month.  This month I tried Paraway Plus.

It's a 30 day product, you start with 2 capsules a day, then go to 5 per day.  Well, I didn't see any physical results while taking 2 a day, but obviously something was going on, once I hit the 5 a day WOW.  One morning I woke up and looked in the mirror, and thought to myself "I think I shrunk last night" seriously, I have lost inches, it's incredible.  My daughter said to me, "mom, you look smaller" ...well that of course made my day!

So you're probably wondering what Paraway Plus is, well, it's a product for Colon Health.  It is a Blood Cleanser/Purifier, Helps Pain, Stomach, Parasites, Pinworms, Pyorrhea.

Ok...NO! I do not have worms.

But....many people take this product quarterly just to keep healthy and to feel better, and I can tell you, that after trying it, I will be taking it again!

Here's the SCIENCE behind the product:

Paraway Plus is a unique and comprehensive product designed to help your body eliminate unwanted organisms.* It contains a proprietary blend of the finest herbal ingredients recognized for their cleansing properties. Paraway Plus provides the benefits of Black Walnut hull, Pumpkin seed, Clove bud, Sage leaf, Garlic bulb, Gentian root, Knotweed, Male Fern root, Hyssop leaf, Fenugreek seed, Chamomile flower, Black Pepper fruit, Peppermint leaf, Thyme leaf, Fennel seed, Diatomaceous Earth and Chlorophyll.

What is a parasite?
• A parasite is any organism that lives in, with, or off another organism.
• Humans can play "host" to over 100 kinds of parasites.
• Parasites can be transmitted by contact...in air and in water.
• Parasites can infect virtually every part of the human body.
• The World Health Organization estimates that one quarter of the world's population suffers from chronic intestinal parasite infections.
Classic symptoms of parasite infections include: allergies, anemia, bloating, chronic fatigue, constipation, depressed immune function, diarrhea, eczema, enlarged lymph glands, excessive hunger, fever, flu symptoms, gas, grinding the teeth at night, hives, irritable bowel syndrome, irritability, jaundice, joint and muscle aches or pains, nervousness, rashes, reddened eyes, sleep disturbances, weight gain, and weight loss. Humans frequently pick up parasites from their dogs and cats. If you make the effort to cleanse your own system, but fail to simultaneously address that of your dog or cat, you are setting yourself up for possible re-infestation. It is always a prudent idea to put your pets on a parasite cleanse along with you.

To stay free of parasites, you will have to take this product periodically. Taking Paraway Plus and colon-cleansing supplements such as LiFiber® and Nature's Tea® twice a year is a good plan.*

Research Brief
Infestations of negative internal organisms are on the increase because of changes in our lifestyles that have occurred over the last few decades. International travel is now commonplace. If you are not a traveler, the world and its parasites will come to you, brought by imported produce and travelers from countries where sanitation is sub-standard. Eating out in restaurants frequently and the close contact of day care centers contribute to the spread of negative internal organisms. These organisms actually get their nutrition directly from the cells of the body. They can literally attach themselves anywhere and suck nutrition out of the cells. Some of these invaders are significantly more dangerous because they can travel to places in the body where they can do a lot more damage than an organism living exclusively in the digestive tract. As if it wasn't bad enough to have an uninvited guest living in your body, the creatures eat your nutrients before you do! They get the best nutrients, and you get the scraps and leftovers. They grow healthy and fat, yet your organs and skin starve for nutrition. What's more, they can remain in your body for 10, 20 or even 30 years. To illustrate the longevity of negative internal organisms in the human body, consider this example. In 1979, a British study reported on 600 former prisoners from World War II. These men had been stationed in the Far East. Thirty years after the war, 15% were still infected with an organism called Strongyloides that they had contracted during the war. This means you could have eaten meat 10 years ago that was contaminated and still be hosting the tapeworms or other negative internal organisms that were in that meat.

FAQs
Q: How often should I use this product?
A: It is recommended to use the Paraway Plus at least two times each year. It may be used more if you travel extensively or if you feel that you may have been exposed to negative internal organisms.

Q: Can I use this on my pets, or should I get something from their vet?
A: While Paraway Plus is safe to use in domestic animals, it is always suggested to consult with your Veterinarian before giving your pet anything.

Photo

That's right, you heard me....I'm looking for 2 great people to grab the last #1 spots in my Unicity Business.

...I'll take more, but the first two people get to reap the benefits forever, they get to reap the benefits of every single person under them.

Like me......

I have over 100 people under me on my first leg, we only have 3 legs in Unicity.  What did I do to get over 100 ppl?  Nothing really.  All you have to do is concentrate on getting at least one person, that that person gets one or two and it just takes off!

NOW....I'm up for a $5000 bonus, yes, $5K, along with $300 per month guaranteed for 1 year, how sweet is that?  For pretty much doing nothing.

Well, I had to pay to get into the Unicity Franchise, but I've made my money back many times over in the past year, and on top of that, I've gotten healthier.  For only $2.30 per day I have lower my cholesterol, lost inches and lost weight.

$2.30 a day?  That's like NOTHING, literally nothing.  Skip a pack of gum, skip a soda or a candy bar, how hard is that?

Unicity has taken a great leap in 2013, the company has been in business for 20yrs, BUT in 2013, in the 3 months so far this year, Unicity has had a higher sales rate than EVER before.  In March alone sales have increase by 50% and in the past year there has been a 100% growth.

So....why wait?  Why let someone else snag your future, EMAIL ME....!!!!!!

Great Low Carb Dessert Cook Book

FAT TO SKINNY Sugar Free Bakery book

Quite a few years ago our family was vacationing in Florida, we ended up at the Florida State Fair, which by the way was pretty awesome!  We live in MN, and our State Fair is gigantic, so we thought the Florida State Fair to be rather small....but what it lacked in size it made up for in adventure!

While there we stumbled upon Doug Varrieur, we talked to him a bit, my husband was very interested in his cook book, Fat to Skinny, but, now, you have to know my husband.....he simply cannot buy anything without making sure he can't buy it elsewhere for less.  So....after talking to Doug for quite a bit we left, on our way out of the fair, my hubby decided to go back and buy the book.  BUT...he came back empty handed.   We got back to our camper, and were pretty bummed, we couldn't find the Cook Book any where, so we ended up ordering it.

Once we go the book we dove right in.  Doug recommends 20 carbs a day.  That is NOT easy.

We no longer eat only 20 carbs a day, but his cook book remains a staple in my kitchen, when Doug published his Sugar Free Bakery Book I bought that as well.  Great tasting recipes.

The two cook books go hand in hand, and I really enjoy the Sugar Free Bakery book, it's not always easy to find great dessert recipes, and Doug has a no frills approach which is really rather refreshing.

I now use my Sugar Free Bakery Book and my Fat to Skinny book along with my Unicity products to live a healthy lifestyle.  It's really quite amazing how different you feel when living a healthy life style.

Some of the recipes you'll find in the Sugar Free Bakery Book are:
Cinnamon Coffee Cake Swirls
Pumpkin Caramel Cake
Blueberry Whip Cream Pie
Chocolate Cake Frosting
Garlic Biscuits

...if you're a dessert junkie or have one living in your household this is a great recipe book to have on hand, some of the ingredients are a bit difficult to find, but, Doug was thinking of that too when writing this book.  There are online links available for purchasing many of the recommended products in the cookbook!

YUM

...and another great thing about this cookbook is the online reader support and there are helpful tips and tricks in the cook book as well as nutrition facts listed on each recipe.

Coke vs. Natural Energy

I know an 18 year old who has kicked his Coca-Cola habit, today I started thinking about my own habit, and wondered why I can't kick the habit too.  I mean really, if an 18 yr old can do it, I should be able to do it also!

I get migraines, I don't like to take migraine medication, so I keep Coke in my fridge, the caffeine usually takes of the edge.

Today, I woke up knowing I was heading for a migraine, my first instinct was to grab for that Ice cold Coke, but I didn't.  Instead, I reached for a packet of Matcha. (More about Matcha in a bit).

Here's what I noticed:  Within minutes of drinking the Matcha, I felt the same as if I had drank a Coke, my energy was boosted and my headache started to go away.

This got me thinking, so I started researching Coke, you may already know some of these facts, but I'm going to tell you about them anyway, for the sake of comparison!

Americans ingest 1.7 million tons -- or 10.8 pounds per person -- of sugar each year from Coca-Cola alone

Coke:
39 grams of sugar in one can.
The average American drinks 399 servings of Coke products per year (not necessarily Coke itself) and 63% of those products are actually Classic Coke.  This equals 125.7 servings per person.  So, at 39 grams of sugar per Coke the average American is consuming 4.9 kilograms of sugar per year, which is equivalent to 10.8 lbs.  That's GROSS.....and we wonder why Americans are clinically obese?

(these facts were found HERE)

So, what happens if you drink a Coke every day?
-An 8 year study of 90,000 women showed that after 4 years you will gain 10 lbs
-You will have a 40% higher chance of getting Diabetes 2
-After 4 yrs you will have a 25% higher chance of developing high blood sugar
-After 4 yrs you will have a 32% higher chance of lowering your good cholesterol
-If you drink 2+ sugary beverages per day you will have a 40% higher risk of a Heart Attack

(this info. and more can be found HERE)

Anything good about Coke?
Well, caffeine stimulates the brain and can help improve performance.  It tastes good, especially on a hot day, or with pizza and burgers.  It has a nice fizzy sound when you open it......

After reading these facts, and more, I wondered why I ever started drinking it in the first place.  I've heard all of these facts before, but somehow, when I researched them myself it hit home.

Now....on to Matcha, I had to get the Coke information out of the way first!

Matcha:
If you're a reader of this blog you may have read about Matcha in a different post HERE.

But, here are some facts for the sake of comparison
-Unicity Bios Life Matcha is a high-end green tea containing 20 times more antioxidants than the açai berry.
-Does not contain artificial caffeine or other stimulants

According to Thomas Cutler, Ph.D. and Chief Science Officer of Unicity, “Bios Life Matcha is a unique product that delivers health and vitality while having a minimal impact on blood glucose levels. It also tastes great. It becomes the perfect companion to Bios Life Slim in your product portfolio.”

What happens if you drink Matcha every day?
You will have increased energy plus the added value of antioxidants
You will NOT have the common crash that so often happens after drinking caffeine

Matcha is indeed very green, and some people say it tastes like 'hay'!  It is definitely something you need to get used to, but it really does not taste bad.  It is extremely good mixed with very cold water and ice!

The before mentioned 18 yr old loves it, as do my 18 and 16 yr old kids, that should speak for itself.

The info. on Matcha was taken from Unicity's website, and you can access more information HERE

...and HERE's the link to a previous post explaining more on Unicity's Matcha

I'd love to hear any more Coke, or soda stories you may have!

The Secret of Longevity

The Secret to Longevity

shutterstock_91983788
Before jumping to a conclusion ponder your answer first – if you could live ten years longer by eating 30% fewer calories every day for the rest of your life, would you do it? Would those 600 calories lost every day be a worthwhile sacrifice for those extra years? For most of us, the answer to this question is a resounding yes.

But what if it were only to extend your life by five years? Two years? What would be your answer then?
Likely, you’ll consider all you could lose by closely monitoring your caloric intake from here on out—all those slices of cheesecake and midnight snack runs you’ll miss.

And even if cheesecake and other food-related vices should not, in the big picture, keep you from doing all you can to extend your life, the reality is that it likely will. If cheesecake is your thing, that is. Who knows? Maybe your thing is Chinese takeout, peanut butter ice cream, or Nutella crepes. Maybe you’re a gourmand and the idea of limiting your caloric intake for the rest of your life is in itself a kind of death.

Because this is what we really talk about when we talk about health and wellness: what are you willing to do to ensure a better quality of life for yourself? To ensure a life with lower risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. A life uninhibited by preventable illnesses.

Calorie-Restricted Diets: The Secret to Longevity?
There are many medical professionals, and average citizens included, who believe calorie-restriction paves the path to longevity. However, these individuals choose to consciously limit their calories without scientific research to ensure results; there are no guarantees that lower-calorie diets promote longevity.

This absence of sufficient proof is not for lack of trying: a recent Nature study monitored two groups of rhesus monkeys for 25 years to find the merits, or lack thereof, of a calorie-restricted diet and found no link between calorie-restriction and extended lifespan.

One group of monkeys was fed a strict diet of 30% fewer calories than they were used to eating, while the other group remained on the previous diet. Those concerned about the well-being of the “starved” monkeys should take consolation in the words of head-researcher Dr. Rafael de Cabo, who noted the group did not appear famished or starved during mealtimes, but consumed their meal at the same rate as the well-fed monkeys.

The conclusion of this study was disappointing for many, as the researchers could not prove calorie-restricted diets resulted in increased longevity.

Good Health = Longevity
However, the study did not come away completely empty-handed: researchers found lower rates of cancer and lower blood lipid levels, a factor related to cardiovascular health, in many monkeys from the calorie-restricted group. This suggests, in the words of biogerontologist Steven. N. Austad whose commentary accompanied the study in Nature, “health and longevity are not the same thing.”

Many call these results into question, citing a 2009 study from the University of Wisconsin also aimed at studying calorie-restriction in rhesus monkeys. This study, in contrast, did ascertain increased longevity in monkeys who ate less than their counterparts.

Of course, the studies had a variety of differences which are likely responsible for this variance in results. For instance, the diets fed to the Wisconsin monkeys were higher in sugar and the control group was offered unlimited food at mealtimes.

Is it Worth the Effort?
Although the longevity claims of calorie-restricted diets have been somewhat refuted by the Nature study, the other benefits of lower caloric intake seem compelling enough in and of themselves.
The observed rates of cancer and triglyceride levels in the calorie-restricted monkeys are of particular importance to Americans, as cancer and cardiovascular disease are the two prime killers of adults in the United States.

Which takes us back to the original question: what are you willing to do and how much are you willing to change to ensure lifelong health?

Do you get cold/canker sores?

What's the difference between a cold sore and a canker sore?

Cold Sores:
-are brought on by a virus
-are found outside the mouth
-can be triggered by stress, hormonal changes, illness, fever and bright sunlight
-are contagious

Canker Sores:
-are brought on by bacteria
-are found inside the mouth

If you get either one of them, or both, it just isn't fun, it's painful, and it lasts for what seems like forever.  I once had sunburned lips which caused both lips to swell up, and I got cold sores that were plastered over both lips.  It was extremely painful.

Just yesterday I woke up with a cold sore, I thought I'd try something I'd heard about.  L-Lysine.  I took 3 of them, as directed on the back of the vitamin bottle and when I woke up this morning, the cold sore was GONE!

I'm not sure if it works for everyone, but it was suggested by my mom, mom's always know best!  All I can say, is that if you suffer from Cold or Canker sores it's worth buying a bottle of L-Lysine and giving it a try!

Out of curiosity, do you have any great cures that most of us don't know about?  I'd love to hear from you!

Not every company shows a 70% growth in 1 year!

From Dec. 2011 through Dec. 2012 Unicity has shown a 70% growth.  That is incredible.  The company is continuing to grow by leaps and bounds and 2013 is not going to be any different.  Recent restructuring of the corporation now makes it easier than ever to succeed!

Tomorrow, T. Gray will be in my town, he is a leader in the company and an excellent trainer/motivational speaker.  In most companies, someone at his level wouldn't think to help me out on a personal level, wouldn't be there to answer my phone calls, or wouldn't have time to chat with me on facebook and wouldn't travel to my state to speak with people interested in the company.  That's what's different with Unicity, they care, and they will give you what you need to succeed!

Heritage

Unicity formed more than ten years ago with the merger of two companies: Rexall Showcase International and Enrich International.

Rexall Showcase International was the direct marketing division of Rexall—a well-known, highly trusted company whose roots go back to the early 1900s. In the late 1980s, Rexall Showcase became a direct marketing organization which was eventually acquired by Royal Numico in 2000.

Enrich International was a multi-level marketing company established in 1972 and was the first company to successfully encapsulate and market herbal dietary supplements on a commercial basis. Enrich International was sold to Royal Numico in 1999, and merged with Rexall Showcase in 2001 to become Unicity Network.
Unicity Network was purchased by internal management in 2003 and was renamed Unicity International, Inc. Today, Unicity is a networking marketing company with a strong presence in more than 30 countries around the globe.

7 Secrets to Lowering Cholesterol

Secret #1 – Avoid Saturated Fats
Cholesterol is a waxy substance made by the liver and used by the body to make hormones, vitamin D, and other materials. It is essential to your body in order to function properly, and the human body makes all it actually needs.

Cholesterol can also be found in food; this is called ‘dietary cholesterol’ and it’s found in animal products such as meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, and dairy. For most people, the mix of fats in the diet influences cholesterol in the bloodstream far more than cholesterol in food does. Good fats—meaning mono-unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats—are good for the heart and many other parts of the body. Bad fats—meaning trans- and saturated fats— do just the opposite; they increase the risk for certain diseases.
In the past, the medical community believed the key to lowering high cholesterol was to cut back on eggs and other cholesterol-rich foods. Now, it’s accepted that dietary cholesterol isn’t the main culprit. “One of the first things to do when you’re trying to lower your cholesterol level is to take saturated fat down a few notches,” says Elaine Magee, MPH, RD, and the author of several nutrition books, including the forthcoming
Tell Me What to Eat If I Have Heart Disease. “The second thing to do is to start eating more ‘smart’ fats,” Magee says. Try substituting canola oil or olive oil for vegetable oil, butter, margarine, lard, or shortening, cut back on meat, and eat more fish.

Over 100 million Americans have cholesterol levels that exceed the recommended level, with 20% of these considered to be in the “high” category. The American Heart Association’s Nutrition Committee strongly advises these fat guidelines for healthy Americans over age 2:

• Limit total fat intake to less than 25–35 percent of your total calories each day
• Limit saturated fat intake to less than 7 percent of total daily calories
• Limit trans-fat intake to less than 1 percent of total daily calories;
• Source the remaining fat from monounsaturated and polyunsaturated
fats, such as nuts, seeds, fish, and vegetable oils
• Limit cholesterol intake to less than 300 mg per day

Secret #2 – Get Moving
We all know the health benefits that result from good cardiovascular exercise. Although researchers aren’t entirely sure how exercise lowers cholesterol, they all agree that it does. “Lots of people, even lots of doctors, assume that exercise lowers cholesterol,” says Amit Khera, MD, director of the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center’s Program in Preventive Cardiology. “But until recently, most of us weren’t sure just what the connection was.”

Researchers now believe there are several mechanisms involved. First, exercise stimulates enzymes that help move LDL from the blood (and blood-vessel walls) to the liver. From there, the cholesterol is converted into bile (for digestion) or  excreted. So the more you exercise, the more LDL your body expels.

Weight loss and diet can account for up to a 20% reduction in LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels. Aerobic exercises, such as running, cycling, jogging, and swimming, appear to benefit cholesterol the most by lowering LDL by 5% to 10%. Other forms of exercise, such as yoga, walking and weight-bearing exercises, have also been shown to decrease LDL levels.

However, these forms of exercise have not been as extensively studied as aerobic exercise. In general, most public health organizations recommend, at a minimum, 30 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous exercise, such as walking, jogging, biking, or gardening. A 2002 study by researchers at Duke University Medical Center found that more intense exercise is actually better than moderate exercise for lowering cholesterol.
Whatever form your exercise takes, the key is to do it regularly.

Secret #3 – Eat More Fiber
You probably already know that fiber is good for you, and that you’re probably not getting enough of it
in your diet. So, what can you do about it? And why should you?

What are the benefits of fiber? Soluble fiber has been clinically shown to reduce LDL (“bad”) cholesterol. The typical American diet has somewhere between 5-14 grams of dietary fiber per day.

In 2002, the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Sciences Research Council issued
Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI) for fiber. For men 19-50 it is 38 grams of fiber per day; for women in the same age category it is 25 grams of fiber per day. Past the age of 50, the amount of fiber necessary decreases to 30 grams for men and 21 grams for women. At best, the typical American is only getting 50% of the fiber needed in their daily diet.

Fruits and vegetables, including whole grains, are excellent sources not only of heart-healthy antioxidants but also cholesterol-lowering dietary fiber. Soluble fiber, in particular, can help lower cholesterol. Think of it like a sponge that absorbs cholesterol in the digestive tract. Good sources of soluble fiber include dried beans, oats, and barley, as well as fiber products containing psyllium.

How can you increase the amount of fiber in your diet? Here are a few suggestions:

• Add fruits, vegetables, and nuts to your diet
• Switch to whole grains; substitute wheat bread for white bread
and whole wheat pasta for traditional pasta
• Eat more beans - legumes are a good source of fiber and protein
• Add Bios Life Slim® to your diet; each serving of Slim contains 4
grams of dietary fiber, of which the majority is soluble fiber

Secret #4 – Go Fish!
Fish is an outstanding source of omega 3 fatty acids - which has been shown to lower LDL cholesterol and raise HDL cholesterol. In particular, Omega 3 fatty acids are noted
for triglyceride-lowering power.

How much do you need? In 2002, the American Heart Association (AHA) recommended eating at least two servings
of fish per week, particularly fatty fish such as mackerel, salmon, sardines, lake trout, albacore tuna, and herring. If you have high triglyceride levels, the AHA recommends two to four grams of EPA and DHA (two specific
types of Omega 3 oil) as supplements, under your doctor’s care.

The impact of fish oil on cholesterol: the fish oil will work to decrease certain body fats, often referred to as triglycerides; the lower the levels of triglycerides circulating throughout the body, the healthier your heart will be. When you add fish oil to your diet, you increase your levels of good (HDL) cholesterol, which then helps offset the effects of bad (LDL) cholesterol.

Although you can get a healthy portion of Omega 3’s in other foods, fresh fish or fish oil supplements are the most efficient ways to do so.

Secret #5 – Green, Green, Green
Botanical evidence indicates that India and China were among the first countries to cultivate tea.
Today, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world, second only to water. Hundreds of millions of people drink tea around the world, and studies suggest that green tea in particular has many health benefits.

The secret of green tea lies in the fact it is rich in catechin polyphenols. Catechins block the formation of bad (LDL) cholesterol in the body and, at the same time, increases good (HDL) cholesterol levels.

Researchers believe that green tea lowers blood cholesterol by reducing its absorption in the digestive tract, while increasing its rate of excretion. But perhaps even more important than removing excess cholesterol is green tea’s ability to fight the conversion of LDL to its more dangerous, oxidized form.

When LDL is oxidized, it gets sticky and tends to cling to the walls of your arteries. Oxidized LDL is a major factor in the development of atherosclerosis (the buildup of plaque in the arteries), and greatly increases your risk of a heart attack or stroke. Green tea, through its antioxidant action, does much to protect LDL from oxidation, thus helping to keep your arteries “clean.”

Secret #6 – It’s OK to Go Nuts
Nuts are one of the best plant sources of protein. They are rich in fiber, phytonutrients and antioxidants such as Vitamin E and selenium. Nuts are also high in plant sterols and fat - but mostly monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (Omega 3s - the good fats) which have all been shown to lower bad (LDL) cholesterol. Walnuts and almonds seem particularly beneficial in reducing blood cholesterol. Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, walnuts also help keep blood vessels healthy.

In 2003, the FDA recognized the benefits of nuts and their role in heart disease prevention by approving a health claim for seven kinds of nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, pecans, some pine nuts, pistachios and walnuts), as these nuts contain less than 4 grams of saturated fat per 50 gram serving: Scientific evidence suggests that eating 1.5 oz. per day of most nuts as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.

The best way to reap the health benefits of nuts is to eat them as a replacement for foods high in saturated fats, such as meat products. Just make sure the nuts you eat aren’t salted or sugar-coated; raw is usually best. To avoid eating too many nuts, which could result in weight gain (e.g. adding nuts to your diet rather than using them as a substitute food), replace foods high in saturated fat with nuts. For example, instead of using cheese, meat or croutons in your salad, add a handful of walnuts or almonds.

Secret #7 – Medically Speaking
Lifestyle is still key to lowering your cholesterol. But beyond that, many people are prescribed one of the many available cholesterol-lowering medications by their doctor; statins are the treatment of choice for most doctors. “Statins can lower LDL cholesterol by 20% to 50%” says Pamela Peeke, MD, assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.

“Statins have many biological effects that appear to be quite meaningful,” said Dr. Valentin Fuster, director of the heart program at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan and past president of the American Heart Association. “But I don’t think the answer is a magic drug to prevent disease. The answer is to change behavior.”

If you have high cholesterol, meaning your total cholesterol level is 240 milligrams per deciliter, or mg/dL, (6.22 millimoles per liter, or mmol/L) or higher, or your “bad” cholesterol (LDL) level is 130 mg/dL (3.68 mmol/L) or higher, your doctor may recommend you begin to take a statin. While there arebenefits to taking a statin medication to manage your cholesterol, there is a growing population who would prefer natural alternatives to manage their cholesterol.

How does Unicity fit into the picture?
Unicity offers a clinically proven alternative to statin medication, Bios Life Slim. Bios Life Slim is a revolutionary, fiber-based, vitamin-rich product that helps improve and maintain healthy cholesterol levels … without adverse side effects. Slim has been shown to lower total cholesterol levels, lower LDL cholesterol level, and moderate glucose levels in four ways:

1. Fiber helps block the re-absorption of cholesterol from the intestines
2. Plant sterols block the absorption of cholesterol from food
3. Policosanol reduces cholesterol production by the liver
4. Chrysanthemum enhances enzymatic breakdown and the removal of bad cholestero

A Note From Me:
I have hereditary high cholesterol, I was doing everything the Dr. recommended in my diet, and still no changes, I was told I needed to go on meds. if my cholesterol didn't lower soon.

So....I started taking Slim, my cholesterol is now at normal levels!  I would much rather take Slim for the rest of my life than medications that are going to create other complications!
